It was established in 1975 at the time of Arya Samaj Centenary Celebrations, by trustees of Jhanda Mal Bihari Lal Charitable Trust, the governing body of Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondayr Model School, Sector 27-A, Chandigarh under the presidentship of Late Sh. Hardyal Mahajan (1975-1996). The present president of the trust is Sh. Anil Kumar Mahajan.
